Trusted teacher: Tutoring for International Baccalaureate (IB) Maths AA HL/SL, Chemistry HL/SL, Physics HL/SL and for International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) International Mathematics (0607), Additional Mathematics (0606), Physics (0625) Chemistry (0620). I aim to make sure students understand material intuitively first before delving into complicated questions and foster a friendly and patient learning environment. Instead of relying on memorising formulas, I teach students how to derive the formulas themselves, build upon their previous knowledge and use them to solve complex questions in a simple way, building their confidence in the process. To facilitate this, I use metaphors and every-day things to construct stories that help students remember concepts and relationships between them. My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, preferences and learning style so I am able to accommodate specific requests. I can help students work on improving both overall understanding of the subject as well as detailed and thorough understanding of specific topics/sub-topics. As someone who sat these exams myself, I know what the most common mistakes in each topic are, the best exam techniques and have lots of tips, tricks and resources I can share! I offer flexible scheduling, with availability during the day, early mornings, and late evenings for lessons online or in-person lessons near South Kensington. Please message me before booking so we can find a time that works for both of us! If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me :)

Trusted teacher: Hi All, thank you for checking out my course. This class is open to students of all levels. Whether you are only starting to learn the wild-looking letters of the Cyrillic alphabet, or whether you are looking to practise your written and spoken Russian, I would be delighted to accompany you at any stage of your Russian-learning journey. For more advanced students, I would be happy to help you get to know one of the most defining aspects of the Russian language, namely its novels and poetry, which would be a great way to learn about the 'mysterious' Russian soul. I believe that studying in three different countries have allowed me to try out and assess various approaches to education in general and teaching languages in particular - from the rigourous Russian system based on ensuring that the students will obtain exceptional spelling, grammar, syntax and punctuation skills, to the more relaxed yet more critical and analytical Western approach, focused on problem-solving and independent work. You will get the benefit of a vast bank of techniques, methods and learning materials that I have developed and accumulated over the past year will be used in class to pique and maintain your interest. And since I was once a language student too, I would be able to share my personal tips and tricks with you to help you reach whatever goal you have set for yourself - be it being able to wow your friends and family by reciting a poem in the language of Dostoyevski, or impressing your future collegues with the thorough knowledge of Russian current affairs in their mother tongue!

Trusted teacher: Introduction: Hello, my name is Anell, and I'm 20 years old. I am currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering at the University of West London, entering my third year this October. I am excited to offer my tutoring services to primary and secondary school students, particularly focusing on GCSE Maths. Experience and Qualifications: I have had the opportunity to work in primary schools during my work experience, which has given me valuable insights into the education system and the needs of young learners. Additionally, I currently nanny for three children between the ages of 8 and 11, enhancing my ability to connect with students on a personal level and create a supportive learning environment. I have received excellent academic results, achieving all 7's and 8's at GCSE, and obtaining a B in A-level Maths, C in A-level Physics, and a B in A-level Graphic Design. These achievements demonstrate my strong background in mathematics and related subjects. Passion for Teaching: As someone deeply passionate about civil engineering, I find joy in helping others understand and excel in mathematics, a subject that is crucial in my field of study. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and I am dedicated to providing personalized support and guidance to help my students reach their academic goals. Tutoring Focus: I am particularly enthusiastic about tutoring GCSE Maths, as I believe this is a critical stage in a student's educational journey. By building a strong foundation in mathematics, students can gain confidence in their abilities and develop essential problem-solving skills that will serve them well in the future. My typical lesson would be from 45 minutes to an hour. DBS Check: For your peace of mind, I have an up-to-date DBS check, ensuring that I have been verified and cleared to work with children." Techniques and teaching methodology: -Understanding Student's Needs: Begin by assessing the student's current level of understanding and identifying their strengths and weaknesses in mathematics. Understanding their goals and challenges will help tailor the lessons accordingly. -Personalized Learning: Create a personalized learning plan for each student based on their needs and learning style. Different students may require different approaches, so adapt your teaching methodology accordingly. -Hands-On Learning: Incorporate hands-on activities and real-world examples to make abstract mathematical concepts more tangible and relatable. Use props, visual aids, or interactive games to illustrate complex ideas. -Gamification: Turn math into a game. Create math-related challenges, puzzles, and competitions to engage students and make learning enjoyable. This approach fosters a sense of friendly competition and encourages active participation. -Relatable Context: Connect math to real-life scenarios that students can relate to. Showing practical applications of mathematical concepts helps students understand their relevance and increases their interest. -Encourage Questions and Discussions: Create a safe and open environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and discussing their doubts. Address misconceptions promptly and celebrate students' curiosity. -Progressive Difficulty: Start with simpler concepts and gradually increase the difficulty level as students gain confidence. Building a strong foundation is essential for tackling more complex topics later. -Positive Reinforcement: Celebrate students' achievements and progress, no matter how small. Positive reinforcement boosts confidence and motivates students to keep learning. -Regular Assessments: Conduct periodic assessments to track students' progress and identify areas that need further attention. Use the results to adapt your teaching strategies accordingly. If you or your child could benefit from personalized math tutoring or if you have any questions about my services, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I am looking forward to helping students achieve their academic potential and fostering a love for mathematics!

She not only improved my level of Spanish, but also increased my confidence with the language. Thanks to all her help and expertise I got a 1st in Spanish, scoring 74% in the oral exam and 75% in the written paper! Brittany Testimonial 6 Ananda has tutored my son Myles for the past 2 years ahead of his IGCSE EDexcel exam in June 2023. Spanish was by far his weakest subject as school and he was struggling with motivation. He has a diagnosis of autism and ADHD. Ananda has consistently encouraged Myles, working alongside him at his pace and has given him a very thorough understanding of the language which he is now able to use with confidence. Her support has been invaluable, she has consistently been available for all the lessons and very flexible with any impromptu rescheduling. She has offered additional lessons in preparation ahead of specific exams such as the aural or listening papers. Trusted teacher: Hi everyone! My name is Inés, I am 22 years old girl form Spain. I have studied a Degree in Mathematics in my country where I had the opportunity to specialise myself in Pure Mathematics, more concretely in Algebraic Geometry which is the field of my thesis. During those years apart from researching and studying hard to get outstanding marks I worked as tutor specially with undergraduate mathematics, physics and engineering students as well as last year of high school students focused on passing “PAU” the Spanish exam to access to university. I have worked with a really wide range of students, boys and girls who just wanted to get the best grades, others with no interest to do anything and of course with lot of students who hated maths. Eventually we always fulfilled together our goal and on many occasions I know that apart from that I was key to make some of them start liking maths. Mathematics is my passion and I always try to transmit it along with all the interesting things which surrounded this beautiful science. Proudly, today I can say that some of my “worst” students at the beginning, those who didn’t want to listen anything about math are currently studying university degrees such as engineering and they enjoy math as I do. With all this I just want to say that no one is more or less capable of doing maths, students need something which motivate them, specially with abstract stuff, that is why my method consists of showing real applications, answer why we have to learn this and that, why is important..
