Art can be therapeutic: it releases stress, relax and improve wellbeing. Would you like to develop or learn new art skills and/ or simply to book time off to yourself? In this relaxing classes, there is no right or wrong. The most important is to enjoy your time creating and learning about arts. You can learn about artists and arts movements by practice, with no pressure, in a creative and fun environment. If you never studied arts before, don't worry, this practical classes will demystify arts for you. If you have studied arts before and want to see things outside of the box, learn curiosities about artists and arts movements, then this class is also for you! I am happy to tailor classes to each student's interests, abilities and needs. It can be either individually or for groups (in this case, please contact me before booking).

I am an RCA MA Painting graduate, and I have a BA(Hons) degree in Fine Art from Westminster University, and a Foundation diploma in Art & Design from the University for the Creative Arts. I am a practicing artist based in London, specializing in painting, and I have been showing my work nationally and internationally. My recent solo show was at Class Reiss London, and I also had a solo presentation at Art Athina. My fascination with tutoring derives from my sensitivity around learning disabilities, something which is a recurring theme in my practice as I grew up as a dyslexic learner, as well as my educational experience of being part of leading academic UK institutions. Through my work as an art tutor I strive to inspire and support my students, offering insight to my experience as a RCA alumnus and to the professional life of an artist. I teach students of all ages, as I strongly believe that involvement with the arts is always eye opening and revealing, especially when this leads to a career in the arts through higher education. I can offer art lessons for younger children, involving introduction to creative techniques and idea development, mentoring and support with portfolio preparation to apply for art schools internationally  as well as tutoring on contextualizing your work through constructive and generative feedback.

I am hold MA in Fine Arts, Painting and have been working predominantly in oil on canvas. I also work on paper a lot in my own practice. I have an excellent knowledge of paintings and drawing techniques and am really good in conveying my expertise. Apart from tutoring live drawing and painting, monitoring student's progress through assignments and feedback sessions. As I am also a contemporary curator, I provide portfolio reviews.

Apart from being one of the oldest forms of self-expression, drawing and painting is scientifically proven to enhance brain function, raise serotonin levels, relax the nervous system and therefore improve our general well-being. Watercolor painting is particularly therapeutic as we explore the properties of watercolors through mark-making techniques which we can later apply in our more elaborate paintings. Even if you are a complete beginner with a 'can't do' attitude, I will guide you through the process of selecting a subject, doing an initial sketch, mixing colors, and applying some of the techniques we explored in the first stages of our class. At present, I only offer outdoor sketching and painting sessions around London parks and green spaces. It's also a very enjoyable way of appreciating nature while learning a new skill. I will help you set up your easel if you are using one and help you set up for a successful outdoor session. When working outdoors weather conditions are often not ideal, wind, rain, too hot, too cold..etc. I will help you work with the elements which might just produce some of your best work as you work faster and more freely. There is nothing like capturing the atmosphere of a place on location. By working en plein air you are also telling a visual story of the place. Ideal for visual storytellers, illustrators, bloggers, or anyone interested in gaining more confidence painting on location. I recommend a minimum of 2-hour session. Longer sessions can be arranged also. Sessions can be booked in advance.

Having worked in the creative industry as an illustrator and decorative artist, I have extensive knowledge in art history and the technical aspect of art. Alongside my experience within the industry, I also work with children teaching private, and group, art lessons. As part of my work as an illustrator, I have delivered group workshops and supported artists on a one to one basis. All lessons will be tailored depending on students needs and interest. In my classes, I teach drawing, sketching, watercolor, acrylic painting, and fundamental art techniques step by step. My main focus is building a strong artistic foundation — understanding form, perspective, light and shadow, composition, and color theory in a clear and simple way. I believe that good art starts with strong basics. That’s why I give my students solid technical knowledge while keeping lessons enjoyable, relaxed, and motivating. I break complex concepts into easy, practical exercises so you can see real progress from the first lessons. I have 7 years of academic art school training and a 5-year Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, which gives me a strong background in perspective, structure, and visual thinking. I work with both kids and adults and create personalized lesson plans for each student depending on their goals — whether it’s learning fundamentals, improving technique, preparing a portfolio, or simply enjoying art as a hobby. My goal is not only to teach technique, but to build confidence, creativity, and a genuine love for drawing.
