I am training to be a primary school teacher. Who, Specifically specialises in the arts and crafts. I can teach core subjects aswell, from beginner to intermediate level; but focus more on maths and reading. My objective is to help children achieve their academic goals. This is done by constantly revisiting concepts that have previously been taught by myself, and testing their understanding. I will always communicate patience and emphathy with the children, as I know learning new ideas is not easy, and takes time.

Fine Art can be a confusing, and often inaccessible subject. However, creating and engaging with art can also be empowering once you have the understanding of contemporary art practises. It is my intention to engage both children and adults in creative play, and discussion, to create exciting lessons. As a Fine Art and History of Art graduate it truly is my passion to ignite, distill, and grow a person's interests in Art, Design and Art History. I also have experience tutoring GCSE and A-level students in the trickier aspects of a Fine Art qualification, where jumping through the hoops and tick the boxes that the exam boards require can often take the joy out of creating. Tie and dye is an ancient global form of art that originated independently across various cultures, with the earliest examples dating back to the 5th–8th century AD in China, Japan, Peru, and India. Known as a form of "resist dyeing," it involves binding or folding fabric to prevent dye from reaching certain areas. In the Southwestern area of Nigeria it is called - "ADIRE". Every Art has its history - “Nothing exists without an origin” Adire is more than just a textile; it's a reflection of Nigeria’s civilization and culture. Each design is a testament to the rich heritage of our culture and nation.

The class will explore and experience a variety of painting techniques, media, and historical approaches to art. Painting is a problem-solving class dealing with form, colour, line, and texture (figurative and abstract). Students will be taught in a workshop format that is based on assignments from the instructor. This class will help them discover their creativity, individuality and unique style. They will begin to work toward building an original body of work that can be used as a portfolio that will include paintings, drawings and mixed media art.
