I am a painter, weaver and researcher currently doing a PhD in textile research for trauma recovery. For the past two years I have been on The Clothworkers Company of Weavers Award - developing my artistic practice at Cockpit Arts, London’s leading studios for contemporary crafts and the UK’s only business incubators for makers and designers. In 2019, I graduated from an MA in Weave at the Royal College of Art. Since them, I have been mentoring students with building their portfolio and undertake research. Alongside my practice, I also teach drawing and painting for all levels. Painting is an expression of a state of mind, emotions and sensations. With the right tools and skills, it can become your language. I help my students building their aesthetic and gain confidence whether it is for leisure or professional purposes. I sell my work on the online platform Zatista and have given talks on textile and mental health at the Craft Council. I am also part of a research project with the Craft Council and Creative Europe.

My classes are typical fun, creative and engaging. As a teacher, tailoring learning in accordance to the learner's strength and tempo is so important to me. I typically do not teach by the traditional textbook approach but rather an interesting, interactive session with good structure for the best conducive environment. With me, you will be able to navigate the language of English with ease and confidence.

Art and craft are almost the same thing which helps in the stabling the mind and you can learn more about it , and be a great and well known artist. To me, Art , Design and Fashion is something that moves me immensely. Add to that my never-ending love for brands, innovation and communication and you have a complete package. My sessions would include; Set Design – How to read and analyze a script/story, what to look out for, and how to breakdown each scene. Creating visual research and mood boards and how to make clear initial sketches in whatever preferred medium, (pen, water colour Photoshop etc) An introduction to modelmaking, making basic furniture, and miniature rooms. Costume Design – Looking at costume history, how clothes have changed through the ages, and what shapes and silhouettes fit what eras. Costume drawings, looking at how to draw a clear design that could be understood by the whole creative team, as well as working with mixed media in costume design, ie. collage, photo shop. A look at costume making and sourcing, how I work as a designer when I am doing my own costumes, how I source, make or alter different items. Puppetry – An introduction to puppetry, the history and basic different types, marionette, bunraku etc. How to make your own bunraku puppet, all you would need is cardboard and gaffa tape. How to make shadow puppets out of card and straws, and how to rig a sheet and light so we can perform them.

I am a university student who specialises in tutoring English Lit/Lang, History of Art and Creative Arts to school children ranging from 11-18. I scored highly in both my GCSEs and International Baccalaureate, and would love to help improve children's confidence and abilities in these subjects, whether they are working for a small test, for GCSEs or otherwise.

Fine Art can be a confusing, and often inaccessible subject. However, creating and engaging with art can also be empowering once you have the understanding of contemporary art practises. It is my intention to engage both children and adults in creative play, and discussion, to create exciting lessons. Lessons will often be tailored towards the individual's interests, linking them to relevant artists and artistic practises. A wide range of materials and processes will be explored in the lessons, including painting, drawing, sculpture and digital art, allowing students to find their strengths. As a Fine Art and History of Art graduate it truly is my passion to ignite, distill, and grow a person's interests in Art, Design and Art History. I have experience in creating and teaching lessons for students of all ages, from 4 years of age up to adults. I also have experience tutoring GCSE and A-level students in the trickier aspects of a Fine Art qualification, where jumping through the hoops and tick the boxes that the exam boards require can often take the joy out of creating. My aim is to help students get the grade that truly reflects their engagement and enthusiasm for art, guiding them through the certain requirements that can often feel confusing or frustrating. Whatever level of understanding and ability the student may have, these lessons will be challenging, creative and rewarding.

Throughout my four years of study in the “Dimitrie Paciurea” Art High School in Bucharest, I was able to study art in depth and in its various manifestations, and in doing so I was able to see the glimpses of the subconscious mind set as reflected in art. My teaching method is based on communication and experience. By that I mean that, I approach my students with curiosity, promoting their researching abilities. Moreover, I deeply analyse and question the meanings of their chosen topics of inspiration, in order to offer a better understanding of the symbolic meaning behind their though process. Likewise, I promote freedom of choice in their subjects with guidance throughout each project, and encourage originality and ingenuity. Thus allowing them to understand themselves on another level. Subsequently, due to my experience in working with disabled children I have understood that the subconscious is present in any creative project hence why if I suspect that the child is going through some hard times I will immediately offer feedback to their parents. Altogether, my final goal is to understand the hidden meaning of the hints left by the subconscious, through our day to day life, and inspire others to adventure in this journey

I believe that art is a great way for individuals to express themselves and often a very good stress reliever! Children have the opportunity to assert their creativity and discover what materials and media they enjoy working with the most! In this class, students have the space to explore their love for art and use their imagination to create their very own masterpieces! This is not only for children but for teenagers and adults alike!

The class will explore and experience a variety of painting techniques, media, and historical approaches to art. Painting is a problem-solving class dealing with form, colour, line, and texture (figurative and abstract). Students will be taught in a workshop format that is based on assignments from the instructor. This class will help them discover their creativity, individuality and unique style. They will begin to work toward building an original body of work that can be used as a portfolio that will include paintings, drawings and mixed media art.

Basic Art materials and drawings/painting knowledge are essential for your beginning in the art industry. As soon as you start to develop more skills better prepared you will be for your future career. My path as an artist, graphic designer, and art tutor started when I was in primary school. I have a solid background in Fine art and graduate Master in Art teaching back in 2013. I believe that everyone needs support and practice in their early stage of education outside of the classroom. This course will give you the most important information, skills, and knowledge that you need to clarify further steps in your Art and design career.

Art is a form of therapy that can help many people to express themselves and overcome difficulties. As a therapist and an artist myself I can teach techniques and knowledge to sexless and analyse complex features that will help your art better. I teach anything from history to techniques and styles with different materials, from paper and pencils to canvases and oil paint.
