Medical Biochemistry by US-Trained PhD | Pre-Med & University StudentsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Struggling to make sense of biochemistry? You are not alone—and there is a highly structured, better way to learn. With over 10 years of teaching experience and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, I know exactly how overwhelming biochemistry can feel. My sessions go beyond rote memorization to give students a true structural understanding, rooted in practical application and clinical cases. One of my recent pre-med students initially found it impossible to connect pathways like glycolysis and the Krebs cycle. Through our sessions, she began seeing the bigger picture, visualizing how each molecule and enzyme plays a critical role in health, disease, and cellular metastasis. Whether you are tackling enzyme kinetics, protein-ligand interactions, or complex metabolic processes, I combine deep knowledge from my active research in computational biology with a teaching approach that makes each concept clear and memorable. This is not just tutoring; it is an opportunity to truly master medical biochemistry. Ready to transform your understanding? Let’s work together to make biochemistry not just manageable, but fascinating. I have a flexible schedule—book a first class to discuss what you are struggling with, and I will design a personalized curriculum to help you conquer even the most complex concepts. 📚 Ready? Book your class today.

Liver Enzymes Interpretation: Clinical Approach to ALT, AST, ALP & GGTranslate this text using Google Translate.

This lesson focuses on explaining liver enzymes (ALT, AST, ALP, GGT) within the framework of clinical biochemistry, while simplifying the method of interpreting the results and linking them to different disease conditions in a scientific and easy-to-understand way. The content covers the main patterns of liver function disorders (Hepatocellular, Cholestatic, Mixed patterns), with an emphasis on clinical analytical skills used in interpreting laboratory analyses in academic and professional contexts. This lesson aligns with the concepts of biochemistry and medical laboratories in universities, and supports the practical understanding of medical laboratory students, medical students, biochemistry students, as well as those preparing for professional and academic tests such as Prometric exams and laboratory exams in the Gulf countries. The content was supported by a series of simplified educational explanatory videos, designed in an easy visual style based on illustrations, characters, and interactive images, with the aim of facilitating understanding and promoting the consolidation of information in a clearer and more gradual educational way. This lesson focuses on liver enzymes (ALT, AST, ALP, and GGT) within the field of Clinical Chemistry, providing a simplified and structured approach to result interpretation and clinical correlation. The content covers the main liver function test patterns, including hepatocellular, cholestatic, and mixed patterns, with emphasis on developing clinical reasoning skills used in laboratory result interpretation across academic and professional settings. This course aligns with core concepts taught in medical laboratory science and biochemistry programs in universities, supporting both theoretical understanding and practical application for medical laboratory students, medical students, and biochemistry learners, as well as candidates preparing for professional and academic examinations such as Prometric exams and laboratory certifications in Gulf countries. The lesson is additionally supported by visual educational video materials presented in a simplified and engaging format using illustrations, characters, and visual storytelling techniques to enhance understanding and improve knowledge retention.

Amazing Tutor for Teens - So Glad We Found Younes! I was initially hesitant about online French tutoring for my 14-year-old daughter, especially since she wasn't thrilled about starting classes in the first place. However, from the very first session with Younes, all my worries disappeared. He has an incredible ability to connect with this age group. He immediately broke the ice, made the lessons engaging, and somehow managed to get my daughter genuinely interested and actually looking forward to her next class! We've now had around 8 classes with Younes, and the difference in my daughter's confidence in school is remarkable. She's participating more in her French class and seems much more comfortable speaking and understanding the language. Younes is patient, encouraging, and clearly knows how to make learning French fun and accessible for teenagers. He creates a positive and supportive learning environment, and his passion for the language is contagious.

Alan is a very friendly and knowledgeable teacher. He was always understanding and worked with me on my weak areas to improve my SAT score. Alan helped me score above my target score in both math and English. He provided his own material and took the time to work on assignments that were unclear even outside of our class so as not to prolong the class. I highly recommend Alan as a tutor and am very glad I found him.

The best teacher I have ever had! He really works with every student the way it works best for them, instead of best for him. We've worked on biochem for 3-ish months and I've hated the subject and couldn't bring myself to even open the book and with him I passed my exam with a 85%. Can only recommend!!
