Since obtaining a BMus (Hons) Degree in 2012, Rhiannon has worked as a freelance violinist internationally with companies such as Burberry & Polydor Music, with orchestras by the likes of BBC concert Orchestra & Nu Civilisation Orchestra, at venues including the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall & Ronnie Scotts, in studios including Elstree Studios & BBC Maida Vale Studios, and in festivals including the EFG London Jazz Festival, WOW Women of the World Festival & Crossing Borders Festival in the Netherlands. Rhiannon has experience playing a wide range of genres from working with award-winning artists including Jess Glynne (Pop), Anna-Jane Casey (Theatre), Anne-Sofie Von Otter (Opera), Isabella Melodies (Gospel) & Le Gateau Chocolat (Cabaret). She is the proud Youth Ambassador for the company Black Women In Arts, lead violinist of Tomorrow's Warrior's String Ting, lead violinist of the Nu Civilisation Orchestra, and leads the affiliate orchestra to Jazz Jamaica All-Stars. Rhiannon and is currently doing a Masters in Jazz Violin Performance at Guildhall School of Music. Rhiannon an experienced teacher currently teaching for Tri-Borough Music Hub. She spent 7 years teaching in two top preparatory schools in London, and also taught jazz and improvisation at the Southbank Centre for Tomorrow's Warriors to adults. Trusted teacher: I am a professional music teacher, and I specialize in drums, guitar, and piano. I teach from a beginner to an expert level on each instrument and absolutely love to inspire all generations to enhance their musical skills to the fullest. I am currently looking to take on younger students nearer the beginner level, but am more than happy to take on intermediate to advanced musicians of all ages as well. I teach in a very practical way, encouraging students to take what I show them step by step, as I break down and go through each task with them, working at a pace which suits them best. I will work to strengthen the student's ability behind the instrument as a whole, whilst focusing on their areas that need development and introducing new, challenging exercises each lesson, which will allow them to improve at a healthy pace. My aim above all else is to make sure the student enjoys themselves and comes out of every lesson feeling eager and excited for the next one! With that I aim to get the student as comfortable and confident behind the instrument as possible and to inspire them to express themselves through it. Side note: I only teach Grades on the drums (up to Grade 8), and guitar (up to Grade 4). I do not teach Grades on the piano, as I much prefer to teach on playing ability and self-expression through the instrument rather than sight-reading. However, other than sight-reading, I am happy to teach everything you will find in the Graded books and more. I teach anything from classical to contemporary music on the piano.

I specialise in teaching private Piano, Singing & Music Theory lessons. Having graduated with a First Class Honours Degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and continuing to study opera at the prestigious Royal College of Music, I have been singing professionally for over 8 years. Through having this professional performance experience, I teach with enthusiasm and a sense of openness. I have developed a flexible teaching technique which I adapt to each particular student. I am friendly and patient whilst also being clear and concise. In our lessons I believe it is essential for the student to feel at ease, and therefore my main goal is always to create a safe and free environment to discover and try new things! Perhaps you sing or play as a hobby, or maybe you would like to take serious steps towards training as a professional performer. My knowledge of singing provides advanced tuition to all of my students, whatever level or genre you may be at or would like to start working at- each one of my students have different goals and intentions we are working towards together. I can help you to proceed through singing/instrumental/music theory grades, also teaching the aural aspects, but I am also as happy to teach those who would prefer to sing/play/study for fun without taking grades. In our singing lessons we will cover a range of skills, such as posture, diction, breathing, self-expression and the most important ways to take care of your voice.
