Piano (any style!), Improvisation and Music Theory lessons
From 48.23 £ /h
Hey there! If you have been thinking for a while about learning to play, improvise and read music scores on the piano, then this is the sign to start!
My name is Enrique and I come from Andalucía, Spain. I am a Classical Piano student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and I would be pleased to be your teacher. It will be great to teach you how to play your favourite music on the piano, but also about its language, reading and writing, that is, the music theory, or even how to start improvising your own music.
All of this is actually interconnected and it is interesting to combine them in teaching. I adapt to any age, level or taste (you may prefer classical, jazz, pop... everything is welcome!). Lessons can be taught in English or Spanish.
Thanks for your attention! Hope to help you soon ;)

Extra information
1) As obvious as it may sound, you will need a piano/keyboard to practice regularly, either at your place or somewhere else where you could go frequently (ideally at home).
2) The location marked as mine is not the Korean BBQ Bar as it may appear! It would be really comfortable to have lessons at my location, as there are many rooms with grand pianos and boards to write properly, and I spend most of my time there.

About Me
I'm currently studying Classical Piano in Amsterdam, but I come from Mengíbar (Jaén), a town in Andalucía, south of Spain. Even though my background is classical I am really interested and trying to get familiarised with other languages: jazz, flamenco, latin rhythms, etc. Apart from music, I aim to learn as much as I can about any other form of art.
Teaching is a great thing to happen, and even more if it something as precious and rewarding as music. I would love to not only teach you how to press some keys down, but also to get inspired, to be able to say something with a music of your own, no matter how small or good you think it may be!!!

Education
I have been playing piano since I am 5 years old, starting in some music lessons in my town. Then, I studied nine years at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música "Ramón Garay", in the city of Jaén, graduating in 2021. Since September 2021, I am a Classical Piano Bachelor student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
Experience / Qualifications
During the last years of my musical education I have started to take a more active role in my career, performing and participating in competitions, both in Spain and in the Netherlands. Lately, I have been awarded in some national and international competitions in my country, such as the XVI International Competition of Campillos (December 2022) or the XLII National Competition of Albacete (March 2023). I want to keep expanding my horizons, not only with competitions or classical music concerts, but starting to do projects with improvisation ot other kinds of art performance.
