About Me

I believe that every individual has their own unique way of learning, and it is my role as a teacher to adapt my methods and techniques accordingly. I promote a collaborative and experimental learning environment, where students can nurture their artistic personality and expressive abilities. I prioritize ensuring that my students find joy in learning and have the freedom to pursue their own interests and passions.

Education

I completed my MA in Classical Voice Performance at the Hochschule der Musik Basel.

My journey in vocal training began at the age of 8 at the Cathedral Choir School in Utrecht. I pursued Classical Voice studies in Amsterdam from 2016 to 2018, and in 2021, I commenced my studies at the Hochschule für Musik Basel under the guidance of baritone Marcel Boone.

I have showcased my skills as a soloist in various Passion concerts, Bach cantata services, and collaborated with different ensembles for performances such as Orff's Carmina Burana, Handel's Dixit Dominus, Bach's Mass in B Minor, and Vivaldi's Gloria. Additionally, I took part in an opera production of Rossini's La Cenerentola. I am also an enthusiastic choir singer, having been a member of the Dutch Student National Chamber Choir and the World Youth Choir for several years.

Experience / Qualifications

I have years of experience teaching singing. In my vocal lessons, I have worked with students of all age groups, helping them improve their vocal abilities and develop their musical expressiveness. I have also taught in other subjects such as mathematics and English, where I assisted students in deepening their understanding of concepts and enhancing their skills in these subjects.

Through my experience in teaching various subjects, I've learned the importance of considering the individual needs and learning styles of each student, adapting my teaching methods accordingly. I believe that successful teaching is built on mutual respect, trust, and understanding, and I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student can get the most out of my lessons.

I am a classical singer (mezzosoprano) from Barcelona. I started my musical studies playing the violin and the viola. I was singing in choirs from I was 5, and there my love for singing started. I studied my bachelor degree in The Neteherlands with the teacher Hanneke de Witt, I have a double degree: performence and pedagogy. Now I am going to do my master with Marcel Bonne.
My main goal when I teach is to help the student to find the freedom on the vocal, physical and mental expression. I like to work on music but also on tecninc. I think it is a very important part to find the freedom. I ike to create a lovely space when I teach where the student can find the support and the freedom to try out different things. I have a lot of patience, as a singer you need to be patient and to try again and again.
I love to help the students to find their way to teach themselves so they don't need that much lessons in the futur.

Everybody can sing!
In my classes I will guide you to find your own voice, through vocal exercises and movements, self-perception and listening. My desire is that the student enjoys his or her voice and singing without hurting or using extra tension and specially that he/she has the tools to know the instrument, so to know yourself.
In addition to vocal technique, I offer interpretation tools and music theory through repertoire work (songs) so that the student can interpret different styles and sing along with other musicians.
I studied vocal technique with teachers from the Rabine Institute in Germany and I have also taken a lot of courses of dance, theater and Alexander Technique that I use for my lessons in order to have an holistic approach of the voice and our body as an instrument. Let's have fun!

I am currently a final year masters student studying music pedagogy at the Schola Cantorum in Basel. I am passionate about teaching classical singing and working in close contact with students of all ages. Having several years of experience not only as a performer but also as a teacher, I realise just how important it is for my students’ success and development to focus on their individual needs and interests. At the core of every student’s tuition is a strong focus both on developing solid technique and exploring repertoire that they enjoy and feel comfortable with! I like to teach students of all different levels - beginners as well as advanced - and I am also open to students who would prefer group tuition. I'm a professional classical singer and I teach from young adults (after 16) to adults. My main goal is to help you discover and understand your instrument, and eventually learn how to master it. The journey to that goal involves the development of your physical awareness, breath management, aural skills, musicality and most importantly, vocal technique. I teach all styles and levels based on the same foundations of my own lyric training to make sure your voice is healthy along the process and taken care of.

I am the person for YOU !!

My name is Bianca and I am 24 years old. Having grown up with music from my very first steps, I began learning the piano at the age of 4. My long piano studies, beginning with the Suzuki method (adapted for young children) and ending with a Master's degree at the Conservatoire Supérieur National de Musique et de Danse de Paris, have forged a solid piano technique and school, enabling me to help all types of students, beginners and professionals alike! My studies at the Schola Cantorum de Paris and the CRR de Saint-Maur led to five years at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where I obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree under the direction of Claire Désert, enabling me to experiment with different schools of piano technique, in particular the Russian method.
The many masterclasses I attended with internationally renowned teachers such as Tatiana Zelikman, Lilya Zilberstein and Ruben Dalibaltayan enriched my musical knowledge, which I'd now like to share with you!

My passion for opera singing was born around the age of ten and has only grown with age, leading me to start my Bachelor's degree in opera singing at the Musik-Akademie Basel in 2021 in Marcel Boone's class. The invaluable advice I received from renowned teachers such as Margreet Honig, Elene Golgevit and Snezana Stamenkovic inspired me to share my enriching knowledge of vocal technique from the Bel Canto school. My aim is to build a healthy vocal technique so that your voice is free and brilliant.

In this course, your voice is the focus. Through targeted vocal training and healthy singing technique, you'll learn to carry your voice freely, richly, and without strain. We'll work on posture, breathing, and resonance to create a solid foundation for any musical style.

- I always focus on the student and their level. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced singer, I work with a method and targeted exercises to achieve each individual's goals (college entrance exam, concert, or hobby).

- The lesson always includes a physical and vocal warm-up, followed by purely musical work.
We work on hearing, phrasing and interpretation of the text.
