About Me

I am a voice & piano teacher with experience in teaching music and theory to children aged 4 and above.

I also teach adults and can offer private tuition (one to one) to suit any of your personal requirements.

I have a large knowledge of almost every style of music including jazz, Latin, pop, classical and some baroque/ bel canto music.

My experience ranges from teaching correct vocal technique for singers wishing to advance & progress in their careers.

I have performed in the west end and alongside some well respected professionals within the music industry. I am familiar with most styles of music and happy to help in any way that I can.

Lesson 1
This will be an introduction to the piano.
I will encourage the students to play some notes on the piano, and I will talk about the importance of time, and also the stave where different notes sit on the ledger lines.
This will involve playing a couple of notes, to begin with.
Due to the nature of online lessons, this will mean that there is more of an element of listening required by the students and also by myself.

Violin/Piano/Music Theory/School Music Lessons available in London or online. I hold a Master of Arts with Distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London, as well as a Bachelor of Music degree with First Class Honors from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I have an LRAM in teaching and have studied the Kodaly method for many years throughout my undergraduate degree.
I am a teacher at the Stewart Bilingual School, as well as cover teaching in various schools for Camden Music Service. I have coached chamber music and taught violin for Royal Conservatoire Summer Schools Courses.
I would describe myself as a highly adaptable teacher, able to implement various teaching strategies in order to tailor my teaching style to the needs of each student. I am friendly, positive and motivating, as well as being empathetic and encouraging. I've been teaching family and friends since my young age so went on to teaching anyone.
I've worked with people who damaged my vocal cords as a child and so have learned the risks and am very careful and gentle in that matter especially with younger aspiring singers.

I teach the importance of breathing correctly, using your voice in a healthy way, warming up the voice to avoid any damage and techniques on singing songs in a more interesting way. We sing a specific song thing by the student at the beginning and at the end to compare the progress made during the lesson.
