I can design tailored English lessons Online. In these lessons, I select exercises and make explanations in line with the students' learning goals and interests. These can include Skills related tasks: reading, writing, speaking and listening exercises; Controlled practice exercises from English Grammar in Use and other Student books. For these lessons, students receive a handout before class with the target exercises and language. Lessons are conducted with a PowerPoint presentation to make it engaging and interesting. I can also tutor and help you with the homework you have already assign to you, or other tasks involving language that you need help with. In this case, I will expect you to send me before hand what you need to do so I can prepare for the tutoring session. I can help with translation from English to Portuguese and vice-versa; proofreading and editing written work and help you in structuring your study around an assignment you may have.

I am English tutor with over 5 years experience. I grew up and studied in France, where I began tutoring as a student, for primary school children and other students. In 2015, I completed a CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching for Adults), and then teaching qualifications to work in the French public school system. I taught English full-time in a secondary school in France, before moving to London in 2018, where I have mainly been helping students to prepare for language exams such as IELTS and TOEFL. So far, they have all made great progress, and have been very happy with their results! I make all of my lessons very personalised, and want to make sure that you are getting as much as possible out of each class. I understand that learning a different language can seem intimidating and confusing at times, and I do everything I can to make sure that students feel comfortable and confident. Who likes Science GCSE anyway! I specialise in working with people who find the classroom setting difficult, or who might not find science the most exciting subject. I have worked for a year in a school working exclusively with students who were struggling to achieve their desired GCSE grade - many of whome loudly and produly claimed to find science boring or pointless - I loudly and proudly claim that they all passed and many with significant improvements on their grades. I enjoy making difficult concepts easy and pride myself on finding an angle of enjoyment and excitment for any child I teach. I have a degree in BSc Neuroscience and Psychology and studied maths and science through till A-level. Science GCSE is not everyones favourite subject but I truly believe everyone can excel at it with the right guidance.
