If you're new to auditioning it can be a daunting prospect. The first time I auditioned for drama school I was completely unaware of what to expect. I didn't know anyone who had been and didn't get any help with speeches or songs. It was a disaster and I was thrown out after the first round. Two years later, I reapplied fully prepared this time, and won a scholarship on the three year acting course at Mountview Theatre School. I can help with all aspects of the acting audition process: Vocal/physical warm up Managing nerves Making sure your speeches suit you Working on the text: Understanding - intention - intrepretation - and working towards the required standard for success What to expect at your audition Recreating a pressure environment; The dreaded panel, the waiting and staying calm under pressure I have over twenty years experience as a professional actor, and auditioned hundreds of times across all formats. I have appeared extensively in the West End and toured across the world, as well as being in over 40 TV commercials. As a tutor/director I have worked at Arts Ed, Mountview, Ravenscourt Theatre School. 'Rainer was instrumental in helping me win a place at LAMDA.' Daisy Redgate - LAMDA student. Thea got into ArtsEd! Art is a creative way to express yourself. It is a method to allow you to capture the moment or create something from your imagination. This class would help the students build up their skills, train their eye to catch detail and likeliness of the object and allow them to explore their creativity. Students can learn how to use shading, and strokes to create realistic-looking objects.

A great artist should be able to draw a wide variety of subjects with confidence and creativity. This includes drawing people with accurate features and expressions, creating beautiful landscapes with depth and detail, and illustrating flowers with delicate shapes, textures and natural beauty. Good drawing skills come from careful observation, understanding proportion, practising shading and using lines effectively. Whether drawing portraits, countryside scenes, buildings, plants or flowers, a skilled artist should be able to bring each subject to life and develop their own creative style. With regular practice, students can improve their drawing techniques, build confidence and learn how to create artwork they are proud of.
