Whether you are preparing for GCSE History, GCSE Geography, GCSE Religious Studies, A-Level History, A-Level Geography, or simply looking to improve your academic skills and confidence in the humanities, lessons will be tailored to your individual needs and learning style. I strongly believe that students achieve the best results when they are motivated, curious, and actively engaged in the learning process. My aim is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to develop critical thinking, confidence, analytical skills, and a genuine interest in the subject. Subjects offered include: • History • Geography • Religious Studies • Classical Civilisation • Essay Writing and Academic Skills • Revision Strategies and Exam Technique • Source Analysis and Interpretation • Coursework and Independent Research Support As a Humanities teacher, PhD researcher at Cardiff University, and graduate of University College London (UCL), I bring both academic expertise and practical teaching experience to every lesson. My research and teaching have taken me across a wide range of historical, archaeological, geographical, and cultural topics, allowing me to make lessons engaging, relevant, and accessible. Throughout my career I have taught Humanities in schools, academies, and private tuition settings, helping students improve grades, develop confidence, and build strong independent learning habits. Lessons are suitable for GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, university foundation students, and adult learners who wish to deepen their knowledge of the humanities. Lessons are available online or in person and are suitable for motivated students aged 10 and above.

Introduction to Identity, Music, and Food in Creole SocietyTranslate this text using Google Translate.

This course will explore the history and origins of Creole communities around the world. Students will analyze these communities through the lens of identity, music, and food to better understand the unique blend of African, European, Indigenous, and sometimes Asian cultures, that formed a novel, “creole” society. While special focus will be given to French Creole communities, students will also become acquainted with a broader definition of Creole that can be applied to Hispanic, Anglophone Caribbean, and Dutch Caribbean territories. At the end of this course, students will confidently recognize Creole communities worldwide and will be able to explain the history of creolization. Required Texts: 1. Creole: The History and Legacy of Louisiana's Free People of Color. Sybil Kein (2,000) Amazon Link: https://a.co/d/dKFDimQ 2. Victoire: My Mother's Mother. Hello friends, I’m Carrie, a native Chinese speaker from China. In my opinion, everyone has a unique way of learning, and that’s what makes the process interesting. I believe that learning languages should be an exploration filled with curiosity and enjoyment. I’ll create a personalized learning plan that suits your level, goals, and interests. I speak English fluently, so you won’t have any trouble understanding me. With over 5 years of experience in teaching Chinese, I have a strong grasp of standard Mandarin pronunciation, which I’ve honed through hosting meetings and activities. My students have successfully passed HSK, YCT, and other Chinese certification exams with high scores. I love building friendships with my students, so feel free to reach out if you have any questions. My teaching style: 🌱 Before lessons: We’ll agree on the focus of the class to ensure it aligns with your needs. ☘️ During lessons: We’ll work on Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills, supported by keynotes. I’ll also share Chinese history, popular songs, and traditional culture to enrich your learning experience. 🌼 After lessons: I’ll provide small exercises to help you reinforce what you’ve learned. My 3 children studied with Daniela for the whole year, and it was a great pleasure! Although my kids' english was not very much advanced and that presented issues while studying science, Daniela was able to give necessary explanations, accommodate to their level and uplift knowledge. From the beginning of the year when each science topic was a struggle, we are ending the year with solid understanding of the school program and ability to participate in the class work. Daniela is very punctual and dedicated to her students, and I surely recommend her

I was looking for a politics teacher for my son who is in IB. Arno was exceptional, both in his teaching methods and in his availability. My son was perfectly prepared and was able to really improve his level in three weeks of intensive lessons. I would recommend him without doubt.

We appreciated the great help of Courtney to our daughter. She is very kind and has great teaching methods. She has been really professional the whole time. She made lessons about what our daughter loves so she was always excited to see her! Strongly recommended!
