Trusted teacher: -Dutch & videos below- Lessons in 6 languages! With more than 200 students through all my life, more than 500 shows (mostly in Spain but also around Europe and a couple of minitours in America), 15 CD’s/EP/singles published (as a frontman, sideman and producer), a bachelor in jazz-modern music guitar (Taller de Músics - Barcelona), half bachelor in piano jazz (Conservatori del Liceu - Barcelona) and a long professional music career behind me playing a ton of different styles (pop, rock, funk, metal, jazz, folk, rumba, reggae...), I’ve come from Barcelona to Rotterdam to continue my musical journey by doing the latin master at Codarts. I’ve been working as a music teacher for around 12 years (I’m 29 years old), both doing private lessons and in different music schools, being the most important one the “Escola de Música Creu Alta” in Sabadell (Barcelona), which is one of the biggest music schools in Spain (with more than 900 students), in which I was the Head of the Modern Music Department. I teach guitar (electric and classical), piano (electric and classical), composition, musical production (with Logic Pro), ensemble and modern music theory AT ALL LEVELS, from 100% beginners to people who want to prepare themselves for the music bachelor. I can adapt totally to what the student wants and is looking for, but also, since I have a lot of experience, I have the lessons well planned, I know which songs and exercises work better depending on the aspect that we want to work (tempo, chords, scales, sound, improvisation...) and when I see someone playing I can see in which aspects is the person strong, and in which aspects has the person more problems, so that way you won’t waste your time! Also I’m a fun and very empathic person so we will have fun, which is the most important thing!! I speak 6 languages: Catalan, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch and English, so we can do the classes in one of these languages. The lessons can take place in my home (Maashaven metro station) where I have a nice setup, online or in your home. -Nederlands- Lessen in 6 talen!

Toby - Berlin, Germany£42
Trusted teacher: Professional violin and viola teacher based in Berlin, teaching in person at students' location or online, in English, German or Russian. As well as instrumental teaching and ensemble coaching of at all levels over the last 12 years, I’ve led numerous professional workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ workshops in London and was an assistant on the Primary Arpeggione viola course and at the Springgrove music competition. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I participated in their conferences across Europe. I have prepared students for music exams at all levels, working with them on music theory, aural and sight reading skills, and regularly accompany students on the piano. As a performing musician, I appear as a soloist and chamber musician internationally, recently including at the ‘Gstaad Menuhin’, ‘Schiermonnikoog’ and 'Rome Chamber Music' festivals. I have participated in several international competitions, notably receiving the Barbirolli prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition 2019, 1st prize at the Małopolska competition, and the Len Lickorish Memorial Prize at the Royal Overseas League International Strings Competition. I hold a masters degree with first class honours from the class of Tabea Zimmermann at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, and Bachelors with the same distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London. I attended the International Musicians Seminar at Prussia Cove on four occasions and have collaborated with composers Garth Knox, Vasilis Alevizos and Thomas Jones on their new works, with performances in London and at the Agora Music Festival in Luxembourg. As a chamber musician I have played with the 12, Seida and 4|12 ensembles, as well as with musicians of the Berlin Philharmonic and clarinettist Matthew Hunt at HellensMusic festival, with Tabea Zimmermann at the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, with Claudio Martínez Mehner and Christoph Poppen in Santander, and with members of the ARC ensemble at the Music of Exile Festival in Toronto, Canada, amongst others. I was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra in 2018, and a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain from 2014-2015, appearing on BBC Radio 3 broadcasts and a televised BBC Prom, as well as being involved in the NYO outreach programme ‘inspire’ in schools across London, including workshops and interactive performances at the Royal Festival Hall. ** Reviews Below **

Trusted teacher: Professional saxophonist eager to teach and work to bring out the best version of yourself! The lessons are intended for all levels, children or adults. We follow a working method where you will continuously and deeply develop your musicality, way of playing, expressiveness and technique. -------------------------------------------------- ---------------------- Raúl is a Spanish saxophonist who finished his DIDACTIC MASTER in 2018 at the École Supérieure des Arts in Mons. Previously, he also completed a MASTER OF INTERPRETATION at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (2015-2017) in the class of Alain Crepin and Simon Diricq. He studied at the "Musikene" (Higher Conservatory of Music of the Basque Country) with Eric Devallon, Tomás Jérez, Antonio Felipe Belijar and Miguel Ángel Lorente. Passionate about multidisciplinary artistic creation, he thinks of the mixing of all the arts in the same show as an aesthetic goal. This type of research could be observed in his project for his final master's recital in Brussels where he created a project based on Maslow's theory of the hierarchy of human needs where he mixed live, recorded music, dance, light shows and effects under the name: “according to Maslow... ” In terms of his career as a concert artist, he has played in different ensembles (solo performances, duo, trio, quartet, orchestra...) and different countries such as Japan (Artisanal Musical Fair "Suono Italia" 2010), Belgium (Festival Musiq3 2016), Artonov Festival at BOZAR in 2016...), France (Dax chamber music festival 2011) or Spain (Music Festival “Quincena Musical” 2015, Aste Nagusia 2015, Heineken Jazzaldia 2014, Festival Kutxa 2015, Intercentros Melómano 2010).

Trusted teacher: Guitarist, singer, poet, composer, performer ... and with 20 years of teaching experience, I am happy to share my experience and my know-how: both from a technical point of view (musical knowledge, instrumental or vocal technique ...) than from a more global point of view: expressiveness, body awareness, confidence, creativity ... What interests me above all is to guide you towards more relaxation and confidence as well as autonomy with his or her instruments, to accompany his curiosity, to develop his musical sense and give him the means to go towards the music (s) that attract him. I like to work from what touches you: welcome to those who know what pieces they dream of playing, what style they like!!... instrumental technique and music are learned all the better through what we like (starting from learning a piece to learn a rhythm, reading new notes, knowing more about a style of music, the form of music, etc.) GUITAR SIDE I am competent for: - accompany the learning of the accompaniment guitar (repertoire pop folk rock English speaking French songs of all kinds, trad music, basics of bossa and blues ...) - teach the techniques and repertoire of the classical guitar: know the different styles (baroque, renaissance, classical, traditional Hispanic and South American, contemporary and so on!), acquire dexterity, look for the sonic subtleties of the instrument... - guide the little ones (from 6 years old) to discover the instrument and the music; VERSATILITY and CREATIVITY! I support all projects that need a guitar AND a voice: - do you want to sing along? I teach what is missing in guitar, what is missing in vocals and I have a toolbox today full to facilitate the coordination of the two! - do you want to compose, write songs, or do you have texts but not the chords, you have the melodies but not the words? ... Do you feel stuck in some part of the process? I can help you unwind the thread of your creativity, better understand your gestures, your "dough", find new paths etc ...

Trusted teacher: 👂 My motto for teaching music: Learn with your ear, before understanding it with your brain. Music can be explained entirely from a theoretical point of view 🤯. But I'm convinced that the best approach is to feel and sing the music 🎤💖, before understanding and interpreting it theoretically. I teach music theory intuitively 💫. More than just a way of reading sheet music, I can show you how to deconstruct a piece of music in any genre, how to interpret chords, and how to improvise simply and effectively. ♯♭♮ About me: • playing the piano for >30 years 🎹 • studied classical music & jazz for 13 years in music schools 🧑🏻‍🏫 • played in a variety of bands, including classical music, jazz, blues, Latin music, rock, pop, cabaret, flamenco and electronic music • languages: 🇬🇧🇩🇪🇫🇷🇪🇸🇮🇹🇵🇹 👂 My motto for music lessons: Learn with your ear before you understand it with your head. I have been taking private lessons from Joao for more than 6 months and I am completely thrilled with it! Although I am a beginner in piano, I can see that Joao is very knowledgeable in his field. What I like most is that he utilizes technology very effectively to help me understand tricky theoretical concepts. He also prepares tailored exercises for me, which makes me feel very valued. He really puts his time in preparing homeworks and supplementary documents even before and after the class to be sure that I understand what he is teaching. Joao is also quite responsive. He is very flexible in terms of the course content and willing to adapt to my changing needs over time. Still, as a teacher, he keeps in mind what foundations I need to build and he does not lose track of what I want as an ultimate goal, so he comes with a structured curriculum that I realize over time. I can only recommend Joao if you are looking for a dedicated piano teacher who loves what he does.

Toby is an outstanding instructor and works with children very naturally. My 11 year old son has been taking lessons with Toby for over two months and is eager for each lesson. Toby is extremely talented, but beyond that, he engages my son deeply with the music itself, fundamental techniques, music theory, and even the interpretation of the music. Toby is kind, encouraging, and works with students at a level that is appropriate. He has allowed my son to chose music that if fun and interesting to practice, even though the pieces are challenging. We are located many time zones away from Toby, and the virtual lessons do not hinder our experience with him. In fact, I often sit in to listen to the lessons, as they are so good. My son has had a couple of lessons with Toby while company has been over, and everyone has commented on how amazing Toby is as an instructor. I can not recommend Toby enough and hope to continue lessons with him for a long time.

Baiba

I feel fortunate to have Baiba as my singing teacher. Her classes aren't just dynamic and light-hearted; they're also incredibly informative and detailed. Baiba's extensive knowledge and expertise shone through as she guided me through each lesson, building layer by layer toward a felt sense of improvement from the beginning. What sets Baiba apart is her openness and receptiveness. She creates a supportive and encouraging environment where I feel comfortable expressing myself and pushing past my insecurities. As someone who struggles with fear and insecurity around singing, I can't believe how quickly Baiba put me at ease and helped me feel safe in the process of learning. I full-heartedly recommend Baiba's lessons!
