Ableton Live is as powerful software for musicians of all sorts. As a musician you will need to be able to understand physics of sound and its vibration through many exciting useful FX plugins and Virtual Instruments ( VSTs).
I have designed this course as a practical guide to Electronic Music production specifically made for people who don’t know where to start.   You will learn how to make a composition, with your own recordings, create multi track music projects and use advanced techniques not only to have fun with it but also to compose you own songs without anyones help.

My name is Lyle, and I teach Trumpet, Piano, and also more general composition and music production.
I specialise in contemporary styles (anything from the last 100 years), and have found many of my students typically are:

- Young children, who's parents are looking for a teacher who is more interested in flexibility and helping the child become inspired and self-motivated, rather than crushed by overly academic and strict teaching.

- Adults who feel like their childhood instrumental learning has left them with large gaps in their knowledge and ability, particularly when it comes to improvisation and playing music without sheet music.

- Learners who are interested in developing their musicianship, and curious about, but also a bit scared by JAZZ.

- Learners who are interested in recording music, and want advice on both music and professional goals and the industry.

I am happy to teach grades, but have a strong teaching philosophy that focuses around more specifically tailored learning paths that focus on giving the student the tools needed to become self-sufficient playing and creating music, whether it be to relax at home, play with others, or write songs.

About me:
I am currently completing my Level 4 Music Educator certificate from Trinity College, and have been fully teaching professionally for just over two years, since finishing my studies.

As a trumpeter, I have played on European tours with various bands, played on great stages such as The Royal Festival Hall, Bath Forum, and at Glastonbury Festival.

I also have my own band, LYLE!, in which I sing, play keyboards, play trumpet, and write and produce all of the music, as well as playing and performing with many different bands across the UK.

Have you always wanted to learn the flute but never knew where to start? Are you a student confused by your school lessons and wanting a little bit of practice outside of class? My name is Sachi, I'm an American-trained flautist, and I'd like to make learning an instrument accessible, fun, and easy for musicians of all ages and abilities.

I am a 3rd year student at the University of Bath, but I first picked up music when I was 12. Growing up in America, I had the opportunity to participate in marching band, concert bands, wind ensembles, and orchestras. However, it was only when I began taking private lessons that I realized how incredible and transformative music can be. My lessons instilled a sense of discipline, confidence, and love for the arts that I would now like to share with you.

This course begins with the basics, but can be adjusted for whatever level you are at! Items on the course include:
- Flute set up: hand position and stability
- Beginner's guide to reading music
- Sight-reading
- Tone and the 'sweet spot'
- Breathing
- From Classical to Baroque to Modern and everything in between!
- Flute music from around the world
- Extended techniques (singing and playing, harmonics)
- ABRSM prep

If you have any questions feel free to get in touch. Please provide your own flute (if you would like advice on purchasing a flute, let me know!). Music stand, flute stand, and beginner practice books would be helpful but can be purchased at a later date or lent from me.

I am trained in both classical and jazz technique and theory and hold a Bachelor in Jazz performance. I spent a large part of my singing career singing pop, RnB, folk and contemporary styles.

I studied at Berklee College of Music and taught song production and vocal styles at BIMM Berlin. I have a very colourful background as a professional singer and can help with auditions, exams, build up to a performance and much more.
