Would you love to write, but don't know where to begin? Perhaps you're already writing or studying English/creative writing, and need a hand? Would you benefit from 1-1, tailored support? I'm a writer and poet, and my experience of tutoring hundreds of people over the past couple of decades has taught me that anyone can write with the right tools, support and encouragement! We all have experiences we can draw on to express ourselves creatively through the written word. Children, young people, and those experiencing challenges often find writing particularly beneficial and enjoyable. I am here to help inspire new and emerging writers by guiding you through the basics of writing, facilitating a deepened enjoyment and understanding of the power of words, and, importantly, supporting you to have confidence in your unique voice. These interactive, informal, and supportive online classes are aimed at students of any age (above 7 years) who wish to write poetry, short stories, or creative prose (such as life writing). This includes beginners who are keen to learn basic writing skills, and those with some experience wishing to develop their practice and learn more, including students of English and creative writing at school, college or outside of formal education. Although we will touch on key grammatical terms, the focus will be on your creative expression through the written word. In these classes, which will be tailored according to age, experience, needs, and areas of interest, students will learn the basics of writing short stories, including flash fiction; poetry, including free verse and traditional forms such as Haiku and sonnets; and creative prose, including life writing or short creative essays. You can attend as many classes as you like, and together, we will build your skills and understanding of creative writing, including identifying the stories you want to tell. The classes will be a mix of presentation, 'warm-up' writing activities, discussion, reading and analysing key texts, main writing activities, and redrafting, editing and proof-reading your work. For those wishing to get published, there will be additional optional support available, such as detailed editing and mentoring advice, as well as hints and tips on developing as a writer. Bring what you need to me, and we will shape the classes together! I hold a recent DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, and parents or guardians of students under 18 years of age are welcome to meet the tutor first, and/or sit in on the classes. I look forward to hearing from you!

Trusted teacher: NL Hello, I am Kyra Verreydt. I have both an artistic and an educational master in drama at LUCA School of Arts. In addition, I sometimes give acting coaching as a teacher at the drama department of LUCA School of Arts. I offer two things: 1) Basic camera acting course (Beginner/Intermediate): How do I behave in front of the camera? What is the difference between acting in a film and acting on stage? What should I look out for? What are the secrets of castings? And what should I know? Using a fictional casting, we will investigate together how you come across on screen. We will analyze a scene and work with different camera techniques such as applying different image formats, listening, reacting and thinking on screen so that you can confidently take the (next) step in the world of camera acting. 2) Game coaching in preparation for an audition or shooting day (Beginner/intermediate/advanced): I coach you in preparing a monologue/scene for an audition or a shooting day. I am happy to act as a guide for your first steps in the world of (on-camera) acting and auditioning. SCARY Hello, I am Kyra Verreydt. Trusted teacher: Would you like to be able to illustrate the worlds and stories you imagine? Do you want to learn how to create characters for a video game, animation, children's story, comic or in any format? Or would you like to be able to draw your favorite characters? If you have those concerns, I would love to help you. I like to focus the classes in such a way that the current drawing level of the student is not what is important. The room for improvement will always evolve. I like to take my classes towards character design, towards general things like the psychology of color and shapes, since they are assimilable and highly useful concepts, independent of the level of drawing. For this reason, my classes are aimed at all ages and drawing levels. I also try to focus them on the preferences and tastes of each student, showing them that everything they like, they like for a reason, that nothing is left to chance and that they can also understand how to make their drawings reflect what they want to convey. Even to create your portfolios or visual information for your own project or story. I give private classes with students from different parts of the world, so many of my classes I have been able to do in both English and French. I studied 2D animation in France, and thanks to this training, my work has been nourished by dynamism, storytelling, expressiveness, typical of this medium, as well as the sensitivity for color and shapes that I usually use to infuse a unique style both to my original designs as well as my fanarts.

Margarita has shown exceptional professionalism and her immense knowledge of the Greek. She adapts the curriculum based on the needs and the priorities of the student so they can start speaking Greek as soon as possible. In case some particular quirky aspect of the Greek language troubles you, Margarita will put an extra effort into helping you to understand it. She is also quite flexible with the schedule, which is great because it lets me keep learning the Greek as an after work activity. I'm very pleased with Margarita as a Greek tutor.

The first lesson with Hajra went very well and my 11 years old daughter did immediately connect with her. She was able to make the learning enjoyable and interactive, which gave my daughter a good feeling. This is very important as my daughter need an emotional connection to feel comfortable asking questions and keep motivated. Hajra also seem experienced, competent and knowledgeable. I have high hopes for the future lessons...thanks!

Excellent friendly communication, easy to arrange lessons at a time that's convenient for me. After an initial discussion she made a lesson plan based on the specific areas I wanted to focus on, with additional lessons based on areas she identified. Lessons are friendly and open - concepts are clearly communicated with room to ask as many questions as needed.
