Hi! I am Salomé, a professional pianist and piano teacher. Join my class and learn to play the piano, make music and learn together. These classes will give you the tools to learn the piano technically and musically, promoting motivation and autonomy. You will learn more about the instrument and technique, how to study music and an instrument effectively, how to play simple melodies by ear, how to read music, and how to link piano practice with music theory. With my method, you will stay motivated and enjoy preparing a piece of music chosen for your level and performing it with confidence, joy, and musicality. Play your favourite piano pieces and be open to learning new piano repertoire as well. Enjoy the piano repertoire, discovering beautiful pieces from piano classical music history to soundtracks from films and video games. Join the advanced program if you already have some knowledge of music or piano. I will tailor the programme to your needs and work with you, at your own pace. The program will incorporate music theory, music reading, ear training, and strategies for deliberate and individual practice. All you need is a piano or keyboard, an adjustable piano stool/chair, good lighting, and a computer/tablet with a webcam and microphone. For the online lessons, we will be using Google Meet and Classroom. I will provide you with all the materials, a personalised learning plan with objectives, and a dedicated individual online folder. Feel free to ask if you have any questions via apprentus message box. So, are you ready to learn and play the piano? :)

Advance your guitar skills. I've got a music degree with a jazz specialization, 23 years of playing experience, and 14 years of consistent teaching experience. Whether you're brand new to the instruments, looking for some "rut busters" to get over your plateaus, or feel you would benefit from hearing a new approach and perspective to incorporate into your practice, I'm confident I have something I can offer. Learn chords, music theory, improv, strumming, composition, creative ways to practice scales and arpeggios, and proper technique to avoid injury, and more. Become a self-sufficient musician. My goal is to work my way out of the job by giving you the tools needed to self-educate and continue to advance on your own. Here's what people are saying... "Fantastic teacher, fun to work with, extremely knowledgeable and able to break down concepts into easily understandable lessons. I highly recommend Vince!" - Carry W. "Vince brings a gentle discipline to his lessons as well as a nicely structured method of learning the guitar. He is very committed to his music and his enthusiasm shines through. I also appreciate his patience. The pace of your learning and skill development is up to you and is dependent on the time you are willing to invest. He is a fine musician who truly enjoys sharing his knowledge of music." - Tom N. "Vince is a caring, knowledgeable and talented musician. He is easy to work with and meets you where you are as a musician no matter what level you are at. He is also a fun guy to hang around. I highly recommend taking lessons from him." - Adam R. "Vince is a great teacher, and a good guy to talk to. I took lessons from Vince for 3 years, and in that time, I grew a lot as a musician. Whenever I had a question or problem, Vince would help me solve it, and then teach me how to do it by myself the next time. 10/10 would recommend." - Joel A.

This course is aimed at beginners, with or without mastery of music writing. It will be possible to cover: - The basics of writing music, melodic (notation of pitches and rhythms on the staff) and harmonic (notation of chords); - The basics of classical and/or jazz harmony: notations, chord compositions, chord functions, modulations, etc. - Questions of form: what structure should you give to your piece? What are the "classic" forms? How to start/finish a piece? The course will be structured between: - on the one hand, the rereading of work composed by the student, in order to suggest avenues for development; - on the other hand, the teaching of the necessary or desired tools from the list above. My profile : I have been studying for a year in the "Performer Jazz" bachelor's degree in transverse flute at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne. With 20 years of instrumental practice, I began composing on my own by discovering computer-assisted music as a teenager. I then developed a more "written" composition style (on score) over the past 6 years during my studies at the Grenoble Conservatory (France). I obtained a Diploma of Musical Studies there rewarding 5 years of harmony and writing "in styles" which allowed me to appropriate the classical, baroque, romantic styles, of Fauré and Debussy, Bartok and Bill Evans. I also took free composition classes for 5 years. My experiences include the musical setting of a feature film for a piano-flute duo, the composition of pieces for solo piano, for chamber music ensembles, for small orchestras, for jazz quartet and septet.

Hello, my name is Stefan. I am a guitarist with over 30 years of experience. I have performed live, written songs and recorded in high end studios all over the world. I have also taught guitar for 20 years, from kids just starting out to experienced players wanting to step their guitar skills up a notch or two. Whatever your age or proficiency, whether you want to play guitar as a hobby or professionally, I can help unlock the path to greater skills and enjoyment. I will help you realise your potential and show you how to reach it. Do you want to entertain at parties with classic rock and pop songs? Or do you want to send your fingers to boot camp to improve your speed and accuracy on the guitar? Maybe you would love to jam along to your favourite blues albums just for the fun of it, or you might be aiming for a spot among the great session players, supplying tasty licks and flawless rhythm playing in a variety of styles and genres. I have done it all and helped many others along the way. I teach both acoustic and electric guitar, rhythm and lead, in a wide array of musical traditions. If you are just starting out, we will start with your favourite guitar songs and go from there. If you have been playing for a while and feel like you don’t know how to gain more freedom on the fretboard, I can help you unlock it. If you are an advanced player looking to add nuance to your playing and polish your technique, I have a bag of tricks for you. I am looking forward to meeting you and would love to be a part of your guitar journey.

Trusted teacher: My name is Luke and I am a 24 year old, multi-award winning guitarist from Greenwich, London. I am an experienced and enthusiastic teacher and am adept at all varieties of guitar playing, including, classical, acoustic, electric and bass. Regarding my previous experience in tutoring, I have given 1000's of hours of guitar tuition both privately and in school settings. These experiences have given me a keen sense of how to motivate students and offer them concise and useful advice. I have worked at many excellent institutions in the past, including Streatham and Clapham Girls' School (one of the top private girls schools in the country), Orpington Music Studio, The Royal Arsenal School of Music and Canada Blanch Music Academy. I have found over my experiences of being taught and then eventually teaching that the best method for getting the most out of a student is to listen. If the tutor is acutely aware of where their student needs help and where they are already confident, they can tailor classes carefully to make the best use of the time allowed and to get the maximum potential out of them. This philosophy leads to classes being student-oriented, in that the student leads the tuition. The tutor acts as a supportive crutch, first working through problems together, then allowing them to explore it themselves with the tutor to lean back on. In my first years of training, like many others, I completed grades. Because of this I have a very good knowledge of what it takes to move along this system. However, the grade system should not be seen as the only way to learn an instrument. The same achievement can be gained through simple discussion between student and teacher and the correct prescription of pieces and studies to work on. I am more than happy to walk down whatever avenue they wish to explore. I would love to hear from you in the future. Thank you.
