Whether you are just a completely beginner, or have a bit of knowledge in music, or you want to master your piano skills, I am very excited to help you to achieve your goals. I teach in Central and South London. About me: I am a professional pianist with Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Piano Performance. I worked at the Royal Academy of Music. 15 years of piano teaching experience with students of different ages. During the lessons, I focus both on piano technique and artistic expressiveness. An individual teaching approach to every student. A possibility to choose piano pieces the students wish to study. Music pieces by various composers and different music genres. Using jazz music as my specialism, I am able to teach even the most technically challenging concepts in their most basic forms and transfer them to the guitar in their most simple terms. Songwriting is a fantastic skill whether you are a beginner or want to improve your songwriting capabilities. Not only will your musical abilities improve but so will you english language capabilities as we look to marry music and lyrics in the best possible way. Not only is it a great industry to get into, songwriting has enormous benefits to mental health as it provides a platform for creative expression which in my many years of experience has helped so many of my younger as well as older students. In my class, you will learn the foundations behind creating a great song including: Songwriting forms and structure in all genres, music theory and understanding chord progressions and modes, breaking music theory conventions in order to create a unique sound, great songwriting tools to help with 'writers block', performance coaching and how to convey your songs message on stage as well as all things music industry, including the importance of copyright and how to protect your songs. My students will be working with me on constructing songs as beginners and my more experienced songwriting students will work with professional music industry briefs that I will provide. Students will be able to write songs comfortably and autonomously after only a handful of lessons with me.

Learn to play the harp with professionally trained harpist! Whether you're a complete beginner, an advanced musician or somewhere in between my harp lessons can be tailored to harpists of all levels and ages. Every pupil is different and learn in different ways and I believe that it is important to identify what each student responds to in order to get the best results. A solid technique is crucial but instead of repeating various technical exercises which can be a bit tedious, I try to identify these techniques within pieces of music, helping them understand how good technique affects and supports their everyday learning, practicing and performing.

I hold a Master of Arts with Distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London, as well as a Bachelor of Music degree with First Class Honors from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I have an LRAM in teaching and have studied the Kodaly method for many years throughout my undergraduate degree. I am a teacher at the Stewart Bilingual School, as well as cover teaching in various schools for Camden Music Service. I have coached chamber music and taught violin for Royal Conservatoire Summer Schools Courses. I would describe myself as a highly adaptable teacher, able to implement various teaching strategies in order to tailor my teaching style to the needs of each student. I am friendly, positive and motivating, as well as being empathetic and encouraging. I believe it is important for younger students to learn that with work comes reward - a lesson that can be transferred to all walks of life.

Lesson 1 This will be an introduction to the piano. I will encourage the students to play some notes on the piano, and I will talk about the importance of time, and also the stave where different notes sit on the ledger lines. This will involve playing a couple of notes, to begin with. Due to the nature of online lessons, this will mean that there is more of an element of listening required by the students and also by myself.

Hello! My name is Julia, I started playing the piano when I was 8 and I am a this year graduate with honours of a Polish 12-year music school with the specialisation in piano, therefore I got a Polish Professional Title- Musician. Throughout the years I took part and won prizes in many piano competitions in Poland and abroad. When I was 14 I started a band with my friends and discovered my great passion for composition; since then we've signed a contract with a label, released an album and played about 300 concerts in Europe and this autumn we also have a tour planned. I grew up surrounded by music and gained the industry experience at a very young age. My mom introduced me to Opera music and folklore, I personally love Scandinavian folk and acoustic. I am currently a student of Film Composition in London College of Music and I'd love to share my piano and music theory experience with others :)
