I’m a self-employed yoga teacher freshly installed in London. I teach vinyasa yoga as slow or fast paced as you need, with a strong focus on intertwining the rich yoga philosophy with the physical practice. I trained as a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher in San Francisco at Laughing Lotus (now renamed Lotusland Yoga) with Jasmine Tarkeshi and Brima Jah. This teacher training was life changing for me, and as I soaked in Jasmine & Brima’s knowledge, kindness and values, I strengthened my own yoga practice and developed my own way of sharing yoga with others. My approach to teaching can be summarized in three major commitments: - honouring yoga’s roots: I use both sanskrit and english names for asanas, I’m passionate about yoga mythology and love sharing the stories behind my favorite shapes - offering teachings that represent the whole yoga philosophy: yoga is so much more than a workout, my classes always have an intention to them, they tend to be focused on one or two of the chakras and include at least another of the eight limbs (pranayama, one of the yamas or niyamas, meditation...) - making my classes accessible to various communities and identities: yoga is for all! I offer many options in every asana to make them accessible to all bodies, I always encourage practitioners to rest as needed and follow their own pace, and I avoid using gendered cues that are inherently exclusive. I’ve lived in many places and I've worked as a medical imaging software engineer for six years. A year ago, I quit my job and spent a sabbatical year with my partner, traveling Europe in our van. This year-long journey taught me so much and reinforced my confidence that I want yoga to be a major part of my life (both professional and personal). So as we settle into our new home in London, I’m taking this opportunity to focus on my career as a yoga teacher.

My classes will be based on exam and course preparation; which includes GCSE, A levels, and IB. Since my expertise is in English Literature, I will be teaching English Language and/or Literature. I can help guide students in understanding how to approach a literary text and most importantly, teaching them critical thinking. I have access to various academic sources such as JSTOR and Google Scholar. I also have subscriptions to various sites such as LitCharts, which is incredibly useful for English Literature courses. I also have copies of my previous essays from my high school days, which will be helpful in using it as an example of how to write an essay. I don't believe that there is one way of writing an essay - and I don't want students to just improve by copying - but having a sample essay can be useful to break down why it received good grades and analyse what made it work. Having completed various exams when I did my GCSEs and IB, I've also become accustomed to taking exams and I understand that doing well on exams is just a matter of practice. Through my classes, I can teach students how to approach various exams, including: how to break down questions, how to structure your time, and how to plan essays during an exam.

Hi! I recently finished my GCSEs (English, maths, science, sociology, English, history, geography, theology, french) and l am currently doing my A Levels (sociology, English and economics). I have been a tutor for college and high school students for 3 years now, in private lessons and group tutoring. I am particularly attentive to students who lack confidence or have learning difficulties, and I am always happy to adapt to them and show them that they are capable. I have met a lot of students who were convinced they were not cut out for math, but who ultimately just needed help in clarifying their mathematical thinking, and who eventually turned to higher scientific studies. I'm a drummer & percussionist with a varied musical repertoire from Jazz, Funky and Latin music. I studied drums, congas, timbales and other percussions with remarkable teachers with particular attention to Cuban techniques and developing my own style in jazz improvisation and I can pass on my skills with individual lessons or for little groups (max 3) by teaching drums, congas, latin percussions and jazz improvisation. I aim to teach in a joyful way with relaxing drum circle when in a group in order to create a team spirit instead of a competitive one within a no judgemental environment that can allow to make you feel at your ease and express the best of you.

In 2019 I was awarded a Scholarship to study 'PGCE with Mathematics' in King's College London. I have taught Maths in two London secondary schools. My classes in both schools were keenly focused towards GCSE level. Furthermore, for the past six years I have been providing private tutoring lessons to a wide variety of students. I specialise in tutoring primary school English students, assisting in creative writing, reading comprehensions and all aspects of exam preparation. I am an Egyptian native speaker and I teach standard and Egyptian colloquial Arabic. I have taught for a year at Johns Hopkins University in Bologna, Italy in 2014. I have had the chance to teach students from Europe, Asia and the US. This gave me a deeper understanding of dealing with students who have different accents.
