I am a practicing artist based in London, specializing in painting, and I have been showing my work nationally and internationally. My recent solo show was at Class Reiss London, and I also had a solo presentation at Art Athina. My fascination with tutoring derives from my sensitivity around learning disabilities, something which is a recurring theme in my practice as I grew up as a dyslexic learner, as well as my educational experience of being part of leading academic UK institutions. Through my work as an art tutor I strive to inspire and support my students, offering insight to my experience as a RCA alumnus and to the professional life of an artist. I teach students of all ages, as I strongly believe that involvement with the arts is always eye opening and revealing, especially when this leads to a career in the arts through higher education. I am a Goldsmiths BA Fine art second year. I do paintings and scultings mainly and sculptural paintings. I love to understand and feel the materials and use the materialities' characteristics and histories to symbolise meanings in my work. My class would be suitable for potential young childrens or teenagers who are interested in art or want to get into art. As art is the language for me, I would love my students to enjoy and show their creativity in my class and I would help them to develop and create actual works in real life. There would be no pressure in this class I have experice of tutoring 10year old child and he was enjoying every class. He had ADHD and showed ADHD behaviours during class but as a neurodivergent person I gave him a breaks during classes and talked about his interests so I could figure out what he is interested in so I could prepare next class for him and at the same time the kid could had his little refreshment from doing art work. And I had 1:1 meetings with their parents because they wanted to know how it went and how he was behaving so I gave her a lot of feedbacks from my perspective (I did let her know it is from my perspective) . My dream is to be an artist/ art professor(university tutor) as I also had mental health issues so I am aware of how to deal with people who should I take more care of and also as a neurodivergent person I could deal with neurodivergent students:) My curriculum would be very personalised by students. Trusted teacher: Apart from being one of the oldest forms of self-expression, drawing and painting is scientifically proven to enhance brain function, raise serotonin levels, relax the nervous system and therefore improve our general well-being. Watercolor painting is particularly therapeutic as we explore the properties of watercolors through mark-making techniques which we can later apply in our more elaborate paintings. Even if you are a complete beginner with a 'can't do' attitude, I will guide you through the process of selecting a subject, doing an initial sketch, mixing colors, and applying some of the techniques we explored in the first stages of our class. At present, I only offer outdoor sketching and painting sessions around London parks and green spaces. It's also a very enjoyable way of appreciating nature while learning a new skill. I will help you set up your easel if you are using one and help you set up for a successful outdoor session. When working outdoors weather conditions are often not ideal, wind, rain, too hot, too cold..etc. I will help you work with the elements which might just produce some of your best work as you work faster and more freely. There is nothing like capturing the atmosphere of a place on location. By working en plein air you are also telling a visual story of the place. Ideal for visual storytellers, illustrators, bloggers, or anyone interested in gaining more confidence painting on location. I recommend a minimum of 2-hour session. Longer sessions can be arranged also. Sessions can be booked in advance.
