Trusted teacher: In these neuro-divergent times, the binary division of "one language or two" in bilinguals is perhaps due some contestation, which students are capable of providing. I have always found bilingual production models (and the ubiquitous Powerpoint slide) that university teachers provide a hindrance because of their lack of explicitness and discussion - they are just not relatable as presented nor do they provide much information or examples for monolingual students. Code-switching, a by-product of bilingualism, is now a term that is even found in minority-ethnic neighbourhood grafitti ("can white people code-switch" a found example). Please note that this is a linguistic term, used for switching between two languages, and not between local or social varieties of English. My personal position is that there is no such thing as bilingualism: there is always a language that suffers attrition, and one language that prevails, mostly because of its prestigious standing over the other language. On the other hand, a child exposed to more than one language cannot be truly monolingual. For this course (very popular at universities around Europe both at undergraduate and postgraduate level) we shall go through the terms used to discuss bilingualism, in detail, and then discuss, with the help of published books and articles, who can be considered bilingual (or are we all, one other language lying dormant?). Can bilingualism be defined by the speaker, instead of the "community"? Can it be imposed by the State? Does a bilingual brain function in the same manner as a monolingual brain? These are research questions that emerge as dissertation or thesis topics both at undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Trusted teacher: ⭐️ ⭐️ What my Class is like ⭐️ ⭐️ • First class I will have a conversation about what YOU need to learn better. Every class is designed differently for different students. • I take notes about our conversation: I make notes about your: +Pronunciation +Grammar 📝 +Fluency/ Speaking speed 🗣️ +Listening 👂 ++ Confidence using English 😎 •I have a variety of books and materials FREE of charge available to my students. Most of my classes run longer than 1 hour or 1.5 hours and I’m fine with teaching longer! If you need to start from the beginning, improve your English for conversation, pass a visa interview for an English speaking country, improve or pass IELTS or TOEIC tests, or learn English for business or pleasure- I have over a decade of experience. 🌟” Why choose Mr. Rhett?” I always loved learning languages! I’ve studied German, Latin, Spanish, and Vietnamese- I understand how HARD IT IS TO LEARN ANOTHER LANGUAGE! Yes, it’s hard! But I’ve been using a dynamic method to make learning FUN 🤩. •I’ve been teaching English since volunteering in high school teaching immigrants English as a second language. • Every student has a different way of learning and different needs and I’ve mastered how to identify a student’s needs. • I use don’t just use a book and say “repeat!”like in school that makes even the best student get bored 🥱. • Depending on how a student learns: I use videos and audio of real world English speaking situations. • I’ve taught in Vietnam 🇻🇳 for 8 years in English centers, international schools, visa interview preparation, and TOEIC/IELTS prep classes. This has showed me the importance of learning how each student learn is different. And this experience has made me a very dynamic tutor with very satisfied students! 🧑🏻‍🎓 👨🏻‍🎓 👩🏻‍🎓 I realized the best way to teach is so my students feel relaxed and comfortable so it doesn’t feel like a class. As an American, I have a very clear accent. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations with a minor in teaching from Pennsylvania State University as well as a TESOL (international teaching certificate) from Oxford. I have Vietnamese residency. I spend a lot of time using different materials (mock tests, pronunciation correction plans, as well as quizzes to track progress). I want my students do well but have fun while doing so! 😃 If a student ever wants to do something differently than it’s changed immediately. Learning is a journey and I will be your guide to reach your destination.

Trusted teacher: Hello, I'm a teacher with 12 years of experience, and I want to offer your child the opportunity to learn about something that will shape their future: artificial intelligence (AI). It's not just a topic of the distant future; AI is already here, and learning about it can give them a huge advantage in their education and, later, in their career. I've been working with AI in my own companies for years and have extensive training, taking specialized courses and earning a master's degree in this field. My goal is for high school students, ages 12 and up, to understand how AI works and, most importantly, how they can leverage it. It's not about memorizing complicated concepts, but rather learning how to use tools that are already changing the world. In the private lessons I offer, your child will learn how to use apps like ChatGPT, Copilot, Runway, and many more. We'll cover how to automate tasks, create video, photo, and audio content, and improve productivity. All of this is done in a practical and fun way, so that each lesson is a truly enjoyable experience that motivates them to continue exploring. Additionally, each class is fully tailored and personalized to each student's needs. I ensure the content is accessible and relevant to each student, so they can progress at their own pace and get the most out of what they learn. If you're looking for private lessons that really make a difference, I'd be happy to guide your child on this exciting journey into the future...today! Let's talk and organize the classes!

I highly recommend him. Even though the class was only in English, he led the class comfortably so that I would not be nervous. I'm going to continue my class with him and I'm looking forward to the next class.
