This class is designed for children and beginners who are interested in learning Chinese (Mandarin). We will focus on developing basic speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through fun and interactive activities. In addition to language learning, I also introduce stories from Chinese history, legends, and traditional culture to make the lessons engaging and meaningful. Students will not only learn how to use Chinese in daily life but also gain a deeper understanding of China’s rich cultural background. Music composition This module aims to develop the students’ compositional ability using a combination of key musical understanding and the practical use of music creation software. Students will have the opportunity to investigate technical and stylistic conventions across a range of contemporary western popular music genres and to study key elements such as chord progressions, structure, harmony and melody, to develop their confidence and own abilities in composition. These sessions will explore musical composition techniques used in popular and contemporary music. The focus will be on deconstructing different works, exploring what their musical elements are and investigating what commonality these have across the boundaries of genre or instrumentation. Students will have experience of composing original musical elements and arranging these elements into complete compositions.

Hello Everyone, I was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia and moved to the UK in 2018. At my classes I love coaching my students through talking to them about interesting topics and setting challenging tasks and ambitious goals for them. I really enjoy setting stretching targets for my students and helping them achieve their goals whether it is working abroad, moving to a Russian-speaking country or exams. The most important thing for me as a teacher is to see my students speak. When we do speaking exercises, I usually write my students’ mistakes down in order to discuss them later. This way of correcting mistakes makes my students more relaxed because they are not interrupted while they are speaking. Over the years I have developed and fine tuned my own 9 point plan to make our classes more effective. In this Raqs Sharqi (Belly Dance) class we focus on awakening feminine energy through fluid movements, hip release and expressive choreography. You will explore a wide variety of hip techniques: from circles and figure eights to shimmies and drops while also working on posture, facial expression and presence. We will learn how different styles are danced, such as drum solos (tabla), darbuka drums which are performed without veil, as well as more lyrical pieces where the veil becomes part of the performance. This Contemporary Dance class is a beginner-friendly space for self-expression and creativity.
