Pragya - Belfast£44
Trusted teacher: I am Pragya! I graduated in Biochemistry (Honours) from Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi. I further went on to pursue my master’s degree in Medical Biochemistry from Jamia Hamdard, Delhi. I am currently pursuing Doctorate in Biological Sciences from Queen’s University, Belfast, United Kingdom. During all these years I realised that the classes I appreciated most were not necessarily the topics I was most interested in, rather it were the professors who made the classes enjoyable and interesting. All these professors had one thing in common, they were always engaging and comprehensible when teaching and moreover were willing to go an extra mile when asked for additional help and clarification. I will carry the same approach and knowledge to my tutoring sessions and do everything to make learning a pleasant experience. I use lesson plans in which I usually introduce the topic in a fun and creative way, then explicitly teaching the material. The biggest strategy I strictly adhere in my sessions is “Revise the old; learn the new”. Of course, this method can be adjusted based on the subject and student’s individual needs. I currently demonstrate on module for biomedical science and in total have eight years of tutoring experience. I want to benefit the students I work with best of my capabilities therefore, I am open to any additional resources and suggestions from both students and parents. I am easy to reach and always provide fast responses. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!

I am a young student, which I believe places in me in a far better place to mentor and tutor a child. I hope, this will act as inspiration for what they too can achieve with a little hard work and self belief. I spent the last three years as a tutor, the former as an in-school tutor working in schools, therefore I'm familiar with the curriculum being taught. I was assisting in lessons and running intervention groups. As part of my role, I was also placed in charge of reading intervention for KS3 mainly working with year 8's and 7's. I have one on one experience, as well as helping the teachers in lesson. I found it worthwhile enabling students to power through, whether it be by encouraging them to try or adapting the way they perceived tasks. The past two years, I've been working as a private tutor catering to year 8 - year 11 students. I focus on first targeting problem areas, before moving on to solidifying the understanding of the subject. All through this process, we will be using exam questions and exam style question where available, to give the best possible chance for the Exams. I'm very relaxed and love to input a little humour for my sake and the student, as it fosters a relaxed environment and the student to take on my input. I have 3 years experience of working in schools but also as a private tutor. I am also able to cater towards SEN, having worked as an SEN TA this last year. I am starting at Queen's University Belfast where I'll be study Economics and Accounting.

Trusted teacher: ***** Availability update made on 09/01/2020. Valid until further notice ***** I offer you my services in order to make you truly effective orally / in writing in English. If you have to use English in the course of your professional activity and you don't get comfortable with it ... If you are tired of being spotted immediately as French ... If you don't know still not when to use the present perfect / preterite .... I'm here to help you and make you progress. * Linguist by training and author of school textbook in this capacity. Note that I am not this young student who had a good mark in the Baccalaureate or this other who is supposedly bilingual. I have been teaching as a teacher in the National Education since 1995 and I can tell you that teaching cannot be improvised. It is not an activity that we do "like that". I offer you my expertise and my experience. By the way, to have 10/20 in the Baccalaureate, it is enough to have the A2 level (which is theoretically expected at the end of 3rd year) so I let you imagine the desperation of future engineers who must obtain at least 750 in the TOEIC! (the equivalent of level B2!) * Daily monitoring possible via internet. * Each course is prepared according to your needs. Feedback is always given. * Specialized in "phonology": intonation, word accent, connections ... Oral grammar. * Adaptation to all levels: => Post-bac: preparation for TOEIC, TOEFL, iELTS, Cambridge First-Certificate, Advanced Certificate. => Orals and writings from grandes écoles such as ENA => Orals and writings from business schools (Tremplin-Passerelle ...) Please do not hesitate to contact me for further details.

Angélique
Angelique is very competent and professional with a direct approach, you can tell she is seasoned in her experience and her English, when required, is also very good. I am looking forward to her teaching / learning method - I know from past experience it is very hard to teach me French language - if anyone can teach me I am sure Angelique can!

Jack
Jack has a great style of teaching! He is very precise in assessing the student's level and he plans the class structure accordingly. From the very beginning, Jack has ensured me that teaching another language is more than possible even if you don’t have a language in common - he is the prime example of an excellent teacher!

Olivier
Very positive experience. Lessons have been built around my needs and were very funny although intensive. Our lessons were focused on business, so we have built realistic role play situations and Olivier has been a great "sparring partner", with his feedbacks and teachings!
