I am a recent graduate from the University of Oxford, attaining a 2:1 in Ancient and Modern History. I can teach History up to an A Level standard, as well as English and Drama up to a GCSE standard. After Covid I found out that many young minds struggled with bridging the gap from home learning. As a private tutor I have come to realise that each mind learns concepts in different ways. This is why I offer KS1 and KS2 english and maths tutoring.

English language at primary level consist of comprehension, composition, vocabulary and grammar. Vocabulary acquisition and further development of these skills is essential for success at 11+ in both English and verbal reasoning and for success in SATS. I have been tutoring since September and have thoroughly enjoyed helping my KS2 students in working on their English skills in preparation for both SATS and 11+. Following achieving my GCSE results, I now feel more prepared to move onto a larger range of subject. I prepare my lessons in advanced, resourcing materials from a plethora of sites and cross-referencing a variety of websites, making sure I teach the most relevant contents. I achieved 10 GCSE grades, with a grade 9 in English Literature, Language, History and Religious Studies, a grade 8 in Geography and an average grade of 7.8 across the board. All my grades were the equivalent of A* to B, the majority being A* and A equivalent. Communication with parents is also key and I would deliver this through weekly or bi-weekly bulletins for groups and parent emails and phone calls too.
