Since 2011, I have worked with all ages from primary children through to adults. The settings have included colleges, schools, community centres and clients' homes. My practice has also varied from one-to-one support to teaching small and large groups. I love having variation in my work, hence teaching several different subjects. Details of my experience include ENGLISH LANGUAGE / LITERATURE - I studied English as my major at university and then specialised in this for my PGCE. I since then taught from curricula including KS1-KS3, GCSE, A-Level, Undergraduate, Functional Skills and SEN. HISTORY - I studied History as my minor at university. I have since then taught privately at GCSE. EFL - I have tutored for ESOL and EFL in colleges, summer schools and privately. Levels have ranged from Beginner to Advanced levels. This has ranged between children and adults. GUITAR - I have given guitar lessons to beginners of various ages in both groups and one-to-one.

Hello, my name is Beibei, I have 10 years experience of performing as concert percussionist working with orchestras, schools, universities and curating my own project as well as extensive teaching experience, from large group workshops to 1:1 tuition. My aim is to make sure each of my pupils are well versed in all musical genres from classical to contemporary. We will have a focus on a certain style and work by playing along to bands and recordings to help improve the listening side of music. We will also work on technical exercises to ensure the growth as a great musician. I can also offer examinations, working towards graded exams can be useful for many people to get an understanding of progress and achievement when moving up to the next level. Lessons will be fun and there will be lots of chance for creativity and improvisation if desired. I have a sound proof room in Central London, very close to Camden Town, in the room there's great quality equipment, full acoustic drum kit for the students and a sound system to play along with your favourite tunes. I teach from a hands-on and practical standpoint. Lessons will (ideally) be at my own commercial recording studio in East London, where you will learn about different kinds of microphones, recording techniques, phase correlation principles, signal flow methodology and basic studio construction. These lessons can also include recordings for demonstration purposes, which you are encouraged to take home for further learning and analysis. These lessons would be ideal for someone looking for practical studio experience which can lead to a better chance at getting work in a commercial studio as an Engineering Assistant. My main goals as a teacher are to help my students improve their technical skill, mature their musical ideas and learn effective practice methods. The outline of my typical lesson consists of scales, a study and a piece. This creates a solid technical foundation while also expanding the students repertoire. Depending on the student’s goals, I can also incorporate aural/ sight reading practice into the lesson to move onto the ABRSM or Trinity syllabus to prepare for graded exams.

I trained in classical and opera singing at The Royal Northern College of Music, and for the past 7 years have had a career in operetta and musical theatre. Including lead roles in The Mikado, Pilates of Penzance, Iolanthe and HMS Pinafore with the International Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, The Merry Widow, Babes in Arms, Out Of Of This World, Free As Air, Cinderella and Peter Pan to name a few. Alongside my career I’ve taught singing and acting with RNCM Youth Perform, Enfield Music Service, Bolton Music Service, Artis, Stage Coach and privately at many schools, colleges, and performing schools across the country. Helping students achieve their personal goals as well as desired results in ABRSM, Trinity, LAMDA, GCSE and A Level exams. I specialise in developing vocal and performance technique especially in the genres of musical theatre and classical singing but love teaching all music genres. The most important thing is finding music you love to sing. I also offer advise on the realities of being a working actor, what to expect from an audition and how to prepare for it, building an audition repertoire and acting though song coaching.
