I have just completed my music degree where I specialised in contemporary classical singing and opera. I have experience singing jazz, pop and musical theatre and have completed one year on a Vocal Studies course at a Music Conservatoire. I have Grade VIII in Violin and Classical Voice, Grade VI in piano and Pop and Jazz Vocals and recently achieved a 1st for my final degree recital and composition. The techniques that you gain from classical training can be applied to all genres and give a strong foundation to be able to perform any music you may be interested in. I can also offer help with music theory and shape what I teach to meet your interests and goals. I aim to help you truly love music and gain confidence in your performance and musicianship skills in a safe and encouraging environment. No matter what level/ability you are we will improve your skills and confidence in singing and have lots of fun whilst doing so!

The saxophone is a wonderful instrument and is fun, freeing and jazzy! I encourage freedom to try new sounds, techniques, genres and have a great time whilst doing so. I think it's so important to try and try and combat any fear that a tutee may have, of failing, of seeming silly, I am silly and that is great! Practicing doesn't always sound pretty and is vital to test the waters in order to improve, I want to make you feel comfortable and open to possibilities and then that's when good things happen.

Finding difficult to get idea for a new song, need suggestions for your lyrics, or just a simple understanding on a song structure? This class is based in songwriting and musical performance. I will provide any tips and suggestion to get a song done and don't get stuck between lyrics or chords. I'll be focussing in songwriting structure across different genre, pop, folk, blues, jazz. I will be also structuring the classes giving home exercise working on new sketches every week across those different genres, and diverse themes. Once the song will be completed I'll give any sort of advice on how to perform a song to an audience. How to structure a show and organise you band if you have one. During the lesson I'll be using piano as main instrument and singing. I am also confident in guitar if required. Songwriting and performance for me are quite related.
