The recorder is more than a squealing school instrument, it has a long history, has a beautiful tone and is an excellent gateway instrument if you want to learn other wind instruments. I have a Post Graduate Diploma from the Royal College of Music on the recorder having studied it as my main instrument for six years. I have taught recorder both privately, in group lessons and as a whole class curriculum music instrument. With my holistic approach, I make learning enjoyable whilst inspiring pupils to try different styles of music from the Blues to Classical. I can teach using the grade system with either examination body or I can teach for the enjoyment of a pupil learning music.
