I am Currently Deputy Course Leader for Performers College Brighton as part of the time leading on the Performing Arts BA(Hons) Degree professional training programme in Acting and Musical Theatre. Meditation is a skill that can help guide you through life's ups and downs. Learning to calm the mind and body then use skills to examine the experiences we have in order to come to new understandings of how we suffer. We will learn basic mindfulness of the breath and bodily sensations, how to bring up loving-kindness and compassion for oneself and others plus learning the basic tenets of Buddhism including impermanence, unsatisfactoriness and not-self or emptiness. I was an ordained Buddhist nun in the Theravada tradition for 11 years and continue to practise this path daily. My teacher was Ajahn Sumedho (senior student of Ajahn Chah) who gave his blessing for me to continue teaching out of the monastery. Guidance will be given so that you will be able to foster a regular meditation practise navigating any obstacles along the way in a way that enriches understanding.

As a strong environmentalist, her mission is to work with 100% biodegradable natural fibres which follow decarbonisation processes as a solution for one of the most polluting industries in the world. With experience in creating her own collection, she provides a specialist hemp fibre design and consultancy service after working with a breadth of international manufacturers. Previous projects have included the vegan barrister wig, 100% natural fibre packaging for small companies and sustainable home and textile products for Cultiva Kingdom (www.cultivakingdom.com). Her mission now is to impact the next generation by teaching them about sustainable design and what difference their own work can make to the planet.
