Maths helps us to better understand the world around us. Practicing mathematical skills helps to advance your ability to problem-solve and increase your analytical thinking. As it is so crucial for development, this subject is compulsory for students up to the age of 16, therefore it is beneficial that your child is consistently up-to-date on their curriculum. During my sessions, I will assess their abilities in different topics. I will then focus on teaching them in their weaker areas to better prepare them for class assessments or SATs for Year 6s. However, if your child is advanced for their age, I will help them continue to progress and learn topics that may not have been covered at school yet.

This class will be offering 3 different subjects students can pick between. The subjects are: Maths, Geography and Business Studies and can be taught up to a GCSE level. I will be teaching by going through past papers, case studies or specific topics within the subject.; using these methods, the student will develop a thorough understanding of these subjects. The majority of the course will be fostering critical thinking, problem solving and application skills. As the class continues, I will be giving students assessments to test their knowledge and understanding as well as to track their development in their chosen subject. I aim to be able to adjust to each student's specific needs so that they can have an efficient as well as comfortable experience when learning.

Guitar tuition for all ages and experiences. Every student will have the lesson tailored to there needs from technique to theory, equipment and ear training. There is structure to every element of learning the guitar that is simple enough to extract from any song you'd like to learn. We go through the songs you like and take all the techniques, theory, why stuff is done in certain ways, sounds the lot, depending on what youd like to learn. Fun, relaxed and flexible learning.

My sessions would include; Set Design – How to read and analyze a script/story, what to look out for, and how to breakdown each scene. Creating visual research and mood boards and how to make clear initial sketches in whatever preferred medium, (pen, water colour Photoshop etc) An introduction to modelmaking, making basic furniture, and miniature rooms. Costume Design – Looking at costume history, how clothes have changed through the ages, and what shapes and silhouettes fit what eras. Costume drawings, looking at how to draw a clear design that could be understood by the whole creative team, as well as working with mixed media in costume design, ie. collage, photo shop. A look at costume making and sourcing, how I work as a designer when I am doing my own costumes, how I source, make or alter different items. Puppetry – An introduction to puppetry, the history and basic different types, marionette, bunraku etc. How to make your own bunraku puppet, all you would need is cardboard and gaffa tape. How to make shadow puppets out of card and straws, and how to rig a sheet and light so we can perform them.

I am a university student who specialises in tutoring English Lit/Lang, History of Art and Creative Arts to school children ranging from 11-18. I scored highly in both my GCSEs and International Baccalaureate, and would love to help improve children's confidence and abilities in these subjects, whether they are working for a small test, for GCSEs or otherwise.
