Artists wishing to explore the aesthetic of classical life poses, the fluidity of dance/movement and more unusual physically demanding short term photographic poses will be guided through the alchemy of photo composition using light, angle and shadow. Studio lighting, in tandem with filters and reflectors, enables us to explore ‘in-camera:’ framing a shot, perspective, subtleties and nuances of colour playing on the human form, plus the impact of angle and degree of light and shadow (chiaroscuro). Essential knowledge of your own camera, whether it is compact, bridge or DSLR, includes how to access: shutter priority, aperture priority, ISO and exposure compensation, to maximise the potential of the shoot.

My degree is in Engineering so at A-Level I specialise in the Engineering option - which I know is high in demand from students. I currently teach Maths and English to 11+ children but am also able to teach both up to GCSE standard. I am 18 and have been lucky enough to have been afforded a private education and would love to share my passion for learning with more children. My goal is to ensure that each child feels that they have the tools to do their very best in exams. I provide homework after every lesson and also update parents as we progress, I also find that progress can often be seen in tests and reports at school. I am looking for students to tutor on a subject I am highly passionate about. I am a sociable character and I strongly believe in a dynamic and personalised approach. I have been a past English literature GCSE Edexcel and a A-level AQA board B student and believe this experience has taught me clearly how to provide best to different students needs. The texts I have studied for GCSE are Macbeth, Blood Brothers, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, poetry anthology (Also have done work on Othello and How to Kill a mockingbird) and for A levels my texts studied were Twelfth Night, A Doll's House, Kite runner, Comedy poetry anthology (coursework included Frankenstein and poetry). I'll mainly be focusing on content, exam knowledge as well as exam skills (however, I am open to giving feedback on the NEA coursework elements). I am open to new teaching methods and I will be able to work at flexible hours. My model essays and own resources will also be available for a more engaging teaching method.
